The 60th session of the Asian Productivity Organisation’s (APO) Governing Body

The 60th session of the Asian Productivity Organisation ‘s (APO) Governing Body was held from 8-10 May 2018 in Vientiane, Lao. This is the annual highest-level meeting of APO with the participation of APO Secretaries General and APO Directors from member countries. The Vietnamese delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Deputy Director General of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
At the conference, the important issues of the Asian Productivity Organization discussed such as: New approach and implement method of APO Strategy in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0; APO’s role in enhancing efficiency in supporting productivity for member countries; Share the policy orientation on the productivity of member countries … This is also the main content of the conference with the aim of improving labor productivity and competitiveness as well as raising APO’s stature as a leading international organization on productivity enhancement
At this conference, APO has also awarded certificates to the four Centers of Excellence including the Center of Excellence on Excellence Business (BE) for Enterprise, Singapore; Center of Excellence on Green Productivity (GP) for the Taiwan Productivity Center; Center of Excellence on Productivity in the Public Sector for the Philippine Development Institute; and the Center of Excellence on Information Technology for the National Productivity Center of India.
The Asian Productivity Organization (APO) was established on 11 May 1961 as a regional intergovernmental organization.The APO is nonpolitical, nonprofit, and nondiscriminatory.
