Strengthen information cooperation and exchange in the field of standardization

On May, 8 2018, Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) coordinated with international organization for standardization (ISO) helding a workshop on “ Enhancing capacity for National Standardization Institutions (NSB)”)
Attending the workshop, there were more then 20 delegates from countries in the region such as Philippines, Laos, Mongolia, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea …
The workshop aims to support developing countries in the period 2016-2020

Opening speech at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai – Deputy Director of STAMEQ gave a warm welcome to the delegates and confirmed the important role of stakeholders participation in the standardization filed. He said “The results of this workshop will be effective for the stakeholders and will improve the information cooperation and exchange in the field of standardization among ISO members.”
The workshop is also an opportunity to share experiences between NSBs and stakeholders on effective strategies and programs.
