October 18-20, 2022, 63rd Annual Meeting of Leaders of National Productivity Organizations (63nd Workshop Meeting of Heads of NPOs – WSM) of Asian Productivity Organization (APO) ) was held in Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of three important annual meetings of APO held annually (besides the Strategy meeting and the APO Executive Committee Meeting).
WSM is an annual strategic planning meeting for APO members to discuss biennial program plans and review initiatives to ensure effective response to the dynamic needs of the economy. economic. The meeting was chaired by Satit Chanjavanakul, FTPI Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of TPI’s Board of Directors, and vice-president who is APO Alternate Director and Head of NPO for Tasks Turkiye Gulıran Battal.
Leaders and representatives from the National Productivity Organizations of the 20 member economies attended the conference. Head of the Vietnamese delegation to the Conference is Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Productivity Institute.
Speaking at the Conference, the new APO Secretary General, Mr. Indra Pradana Singawinata welcomed the delegates attending the 63rd WSM and expressed gratitude for the trust and responsibility that the APO Executive Board (Governing Body) has shown. awarded him as the 13th Secretary General of the APO.
At the Conference, stakeholders exchanged and evaluated the results of implementation of programs and projects in 2022, coming to an agreement on programs and projects to be implemented in 2023 and 2024 according to the orientation of the Government. The conference also adopted a number of issues of interest such as APO National Award Program, Green Productivity 2.0, COE Center of Excellence, APO’s Digital Capacity Enhancement, etc.
