ISO regional workshop on developing national standardization strategies exploring the value and relevance of critical emerging technologies
As a member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) hosted the ISO regional workshop on developing national standardization strategies exploring the value and relevance of critical emerging technologies.
In the fact that Vietnam is giving formulating and putting into action a national standardizing policy considerable consideration, along with other Southeast Asian nations. The workshop will give Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Cambodia the chance to implement the Action Plan to support developing countries for the years 2021–2025. Increasing the ability of the country’s Southeast Asian member states in ISO, current knowledge, practical experiences in building national standards programs, and tactics for enticing stakeholders to participate should be shared Critical Technology (CET).
In the context of international economic integration, countries around the world need to come up with a strategic vision in the development of standards to support improving their country’s competitiveness and innovation, ensuring ensure the health and safety of people as well as facilitate global trade, driving economic development.
