Final round of the “Knowledge Contest on Quality & Productivity among Students” (ProductiveNOW) 2024

On the afternoon of December 27, the Office and Youth Union of the Commission for the Standards, Metrology and Quality of Viet Nam (STAMEQ) jointly organized the final round of “Knowledge Contest on Quality & Productivity among Students” in Ha Noi.
The contest was attended by Mr. Ha Minh Hiep – Acting Chairman of the STAMEQ; Mr. Pham Le Cuong – Deputy Chief of Office of the STAMEQ – Head of the Contest Organizing Committee; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep – Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Central-level Public Agencies’ Bloc; Mr. Tran Xuan Bach – Member of the Central Youth Union, Member of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Central-level Public Agencies’ Bloc, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Ms. Tran Hai Ninh – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Secretary of the Youth Union of the STAMEQ.
Representatives of colleges and universities attending the event included Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – Head of International Relations Department, Academy of Journalism and Communication; Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Chi Anh, Director of the Center for Business Administration Research, Institute of Business Administration, University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, Deputy Director of the Institute of Business Administration, University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Mr. Hoang Van Duyen – Vice Principal of Lilama 2 International Technology College; Mr. Ngo Van An – Deputy Head of Political and Student Affairs Department, Nha Trang University; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien – Head of Business Relations Department, Dong Nai High Technology College.

Speaking at the contest, Mr. Ha Minh Hiep – Acting Chairman of the STAMEQ said that productivity is working better tomorrow, and tomorrow we think and contribute better than today. Productive thinking is a tool to help us have unlimited creative thinking and resources to create new values and new wealth, that is the message to students in this competition.
“We hope that students will be the ones who bring the wind and productivity thinking so that previous generations can understand the tools and productivity, so that productivity thinking and productivity movement can spread to organizations and businesses in Vietnam and become our growth engine in the coming period, the period of the rising era.”

The comtest consists of 3 parts: Part 1 is greeting and warm-up with a maximum score of 120 points and a presentation time of 10 minutes for each team; Part 2 is general knowledge with a maximum score of 150 points for 2 minutes to answer 10 questions; Part 3 is a presentation with a maximum score of 200 points and a 10-minute presentation on the implemented quality and productivity improvement project.
The contest revolves around general knowledge about quality productivity through live sharing sessions on Quality Productivity at universities and colleges and online training sessions on productivity and quality improvement tools organized by the STAMEQ in collaboration with universities and colleges in the period from 2023 to 2024; Projects and plans to improve and enhance quality productivity in life, schools and businesses.


The contest took place enthusiastically with the participation of many students from the following schools: Academy of Journalism and Communication; Nha Trang University; Lilama 2 International College of Technology; Dong Nai High Technology College; University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The competition was exciting, enthusiastic and dramatic. The teams completed 3 parts of the competition excellently with perfect scores.
The final result was that the team from Dong Nai High Technology College won the first prize and a 5-day study exchange trip to Tsinghua University – Taiwan for 5 members; Second prize went to the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Third prize went to Nha Trang University; Encouragement prize went to the Academy of Journalism and Communication and Lilama 2 International Technology College.
