Collaboration on a bilateral basis between the Korean Standards Institute and the VietNam Institute of Standards and Quality
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed on August 23, 2022, as a part of bilateral cooperation between the Korean Standards Institute (KCL) and the Viet Nam Institute of Standards and Quality, taking place at the InterContinental Seoul COEX (Seoul, South Korea).
Mr. Jo Yungtae – Chairman of KCL, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Deputy General Director of STAMEQ and Mr. Phung Manh Truong – Deputy Director in charge of VSQI at the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement.
Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh – Deputy General Director of the General Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ), Mr. Phung Manh Truong – Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Institute of Standards and Quality, Mr. Jo Yungtae – Chairman KCL President, Mr. Jun Sooyong – Executive Director of Foreign Affairs – KCL, Mr. Lee Chang Soo – Director of TBT Affairs Department – KATS, Mr. Lee Gyujeong – Deputy Director of Cooperation on Technical Regulation – KATS .
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh, who spoke at the occasion, commended the two units and recognized their efforts in locating partners, creating international cooperation links, and broadening the scope of the Viet Nam Standards and Quality Institute’s (VSQI) activities, the Korean Standards Institute and South Korea’s (KCL).
The collaboration between VSQI and KCL in the area of training, certification, and standards development areas in with both organizations are interested and eager to work. The two parties anticipate that their collaboration will give companies, notably exporters, easier acccess to standards, product certification, and related services. As a result, the quality of products, servives and commodities will be more consistent and bussiness will be more competitive in the marketplaces for goods, services and products in the two nations.
