Vietnam cooperated with UL in the field of standard licensing

On September 17, in Cape Town, South Africa, the America Association for Laboratory Accreditation (UL) and STAMEQ signed the Memorandum of License on standards.

Mr. Tran Van Vinh Director General of STAMEQ and Mr. Philip M. Piqueira, UL Vice President signed the cooperation agreement.

Accordingly, the cooperation aims to promote exchanges between the two sides; improve understanding of standard distribution activities; use UL resources to strengthen the standard distribution system and promote the use of UL standards in Vietnam; It is allowed to accept and use UL Standards in Vietnam when UL and ISMQ determine that these standards are appropriate.

UL is a not-for-profit International Standard Organization, with a mission to make the world safer and more sustainable. UL is recognized as a standards development organization in the United States and Canada and holds the copyright for the UL Standard for Safety and the UL Standard for Sustainability.
