The Directorate for Standards and Quality met with the Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam

On May 20, 2019, STAMEQ had a meeting with H.E Mr. Ibnu Hadi, Indonesian Ambassador in Vietnam. On the occasion of the meeting with Indonesian Ambassador, Director General of STAMEQ Mr. Tran Van Vinh sent congratulations to Mr. Achmand Kurnia Prawiran Mochtan, who became APO Secretary-General for the period of 2019-2022.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged outstanding current concerns in APO cooperation, which addressed the National Productivity Policy. STAMEQ also expressed that with the experience of Mr. Achmand Kurnia Prawiran Mochtan, he would support Vietnam in achieving its productivity and quality objectives.

In the coming time, Vietnam has many special plans that would be trained and shared from the APO. Besides, Vietnam also wanted APO to appoint senior experts in developed countries such as Korea and Japan to support Vietnam in APO’s major projects. With Indonesia being elected APO Secretary-General position, STAMEQ expected that productivity activities among member countries would be promoted in the future, especially to address the urgent needs of the context such as the formulation of national policies, master plans on productivity, productivity issues in the context of industrial revolution 4.0, application and development of smart production.

Sharing more about the scale of productivity and quality field in Vietnam, in the manufacturing sector, Vietnam worked effectively and the market was very competitive. Currently, Vietnam is focusing on the manufacturing industry, but the service sector cannot measure productivity efficiency./.
