2017 Vietnam National Quality Award Ceremony
On April 22nd 2018, the 2017 Vietnam National Quality Award Ceremony was held in Hanoi. Presenting at the event was Mr. Vu Duc Dam-Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung-Chairman of National Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh–Minister of Science and Technology, Mr Pham Hong Ha- Minister of Construction, Mr Tran Hong Ha–Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr Tran Van Tung- Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the National Council of Quality Award 2017 and representatives from ministries, sectors, businesses and mass media agencies nationwide.
The National Quality Awards 2017 was presented to seventy-three enterprises, fifteen of which were granted with the Gold Awards and fifty-five were granted with the Silver Awards. Besides, there were four Vietnamese businesses winning the Asia – Pacific International quality Award 2017 that were Ton Dong A Steel Joint Stock Company (Binh Duong Province) won World Class Award for big production; Khanh Hoa Bird’s Nest Company Limited (Khanh Hoa province) won the World Class Award for big service; Viet Duc Steel Corporation (Vinh Phuc province) won the Best In Class Award for small production; Long Hau Corporation (Long An Province) won the Quest for Excellence Award for small service.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh emphasized the achievements of the national quality award in more than 20 years. The Minister hopes the National Quality Award in contributing more to the quality productivity movement and will innovate continually so that enterprises can approach the awards to improve their activities and improve their competitiveness.
